Beneath the Surface

When homicide investigator Ryan Parker knocks on the door of the younger sister of his best friend, he had no idea the journey life was about to take him on. Leigh Weston, a nurse practitioner, had moved back home to North Carolina to avoid the memories of her former stalker.

Instead of finding a peaceful life, Leigh began to be terrorized by a mystery person. Her life was placed in danger in every aspect of her life. Ryan had knocked on on Leigh’s door for permission to use her dock as he was investigating a body found at the bottom of the lake.

One body turns into three, and Leigh’s life continues to be in danger. The homicide team takes many twists and turns, which I never saw coming.

A Great Read!

This was the first book I’ve read by Lynn H. Blackburn, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The storyline was enjoyable despite the dark twists and turns that befell the homicide team as they sought to solve the mystery. For the first time in a while, I truly enjoyed getting to the end of the story. When the real culprit was revealed, I never saw it coming.

Beneath the Surface is the first book in a new series of Dive Team Investigations. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more books in this series!.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. This review is my own, honest opinion.
